Ever since I was a kid I disliked onions. I did not understand the need to keep adding them to soups, salads or other dishes. Then one day I stumbled across something called a Maui sweet onion. A sweet onion? Whelp they're not sweet like candy, but they definitely have less bite than a regular onion. I now add "sweet" onions, to soup (boosts the flavor of the stock), or to fried potatoes/tuna patties, and in small amounts they're not even bad in a salad - especially like potato salad. So, if you think you don't like onions, try one labeled "sweet"
