We have been buying this for a couple years now since we have a family member with a cow milk allergy, we have just gotten used to cooking with alternative sources. We have tried a slew of brands of DF butter, but nothing comes close (except Melt brand, which I have not been able to find in a long time). This butter is very similar in taste and texture to real butter. I tell people about this butter all of the time. It is actually quite impressive.

After enjoying the various Miyokos cheeses, I thought I'd give the butter a try. It really does taste like butter and spreads like refrigerated butter. Where it falls short is melting. I put it on a piece of warmish bread and it dissolved into a puddle of whitish liquid. Wasn't expecting that to happen. So, I wouldn't put this on anything warm enough to melt it again as the liquid was a bit off putting . Thus, I'm not really sure how I'll use it now as I had bought it to butter toast with.

Only problem is the "D.E." certification which means that product is Parve but processed on dairy equipment so cannot been eaten/cooked WITH meat foods. Can be consumed AFTER a meat meal, however (use for baking a dessert!).
